Lawhorn & Associates, P.C., opened in September 1993, with a small office in Decatur, Georgia. In
1996, we moved to Loganville, Georgia, where the practice began to grow.
In 1999, we had outgrown
our space in Loganville, and the search began for a building to purchase so we could finally begin to put roots in the
community. Unable to locate a suitable building in Loganville, the firm began to look at the city of Monroe,
Georgia, the county seat of Walton County.
Earl Mallard, a local fixture in the Monroe legal community,
decided he was going to retire and his building came up for sale. Earl and his wife graciously assisted Lawhorn
and Associates in the purchase, and now with their assistance, we own our own building, located at the corner of West
Highland Avenue and Spring Street.
H. Scott Basham, joined our firm in March, 2008.
Lawhorn
& Associates currently employs a support staff of five and maintains a close business relationship with Blue Line Title Research Co.
